“No matter how long the relationship lasted.
“My breakup left me crushed and changed me to my core, but when I look back now on the last two years, I can definitely say that while I was shattered and it has changed me forever, I have handled it with kindness, understanding, grace and dignity.
“No screaming, anger or bitterness.
“And for that I am so proud of myself.”“So a little bit of wisdom from me: When someone leaves wish them happiness and nothing but best. Try and remember only the good moments with that person.”

“Accept it for what it is and that it’s over.
“Let go of what was and that it doesn’t exist anymore.
“And most importantly have faith and belief in what will be and what is coming next.”
Despite splitting in August 2021, Jelena announced her breakup in January 2022 after taking a sudden and unexpected break from social media.
At the time, she shared a selfie of the couple with a rip graphic down the middle.

‘Learn and move on’
The former tennis star’s latest post continued with some advice to others.
“You have to pick yourself up, learn and move on,” she said.
“That wall around your heart is really high right now but you never know what is around the corner so stay positive, have faith and believe that something special is still out there and will turn up one day.
“And even if it doesn’t, you know that you and your love for yourself is strong that you can do it on your own.”

She ended the post by sharing her hopes that the messages help someone else through a breakup.
Judging by the comments, the post certainly helped her followers, with many expressing their gratitude for her wise words.
“Oh wow I needed to hear this. My marriage ended six weeks ago. I’m left with just my son. I am shattered and honestly, I’m a mess. I feel so alone and sad. I dunno how I’ll get through this,” one user wrote.
“You are a beautiful inspiration. I’ve learned this now four times painfully and you are right on all counts,” said another.
“In the same boat! Self-love is definitely a priority. Thanks for the reminder,” added a third.
